The utilization of a building’s rooftop is a modern solution that combines aesthetic enhancement with the creation of a more natural and pleasant environment.

The construction process of a modern green roof system is presented, implemented on a newly built hotel on the island of Paros.

For the project, all the necessary materials for the creation of an extensive green roof were installed. Specifically, the following were installed:

• Roof waterproofing
• Root growth control membrane
• Moisture-retaining substrate and insulation protection layer
• Drainage system
• Filter sheet
• Inspection chamber for the inspection and maintenance of rainwater drainage outlets
